Alan Pacific Foundation also donates the same free after school clinic outlined for Boys and Girls Clubs to recreation centers across California and the nation. There is a companion program during the summer designed to give the on-course private golf camp experience to children who wouldn't normally be able to afford it.

APF donates free golf clinics to faith centers in underserved communities.

One of APF's favorite ways to give back is bringing the course to hospitals and hospice facilities, giving patients, their families, and their caregivers a chance to relax and have fun through a free golf clinic.

Since 2017, Alan Pacific Foundation has donated free golf clinics to Boys and Girl's Clubs across the nation; giving underserved children an opportunity to experience the benefits golf can provide. In 2018, the program was expanded to include the TUTOR TENT– a modular add-on to the event which introduces a musical component (guitar, drums, or piano), and in the future will expand further to include chess, math, science, and art.

...And more to come!

Founded in 2001 by Derrick Allen, Alan Pacific Foundation evolved over the years and became its own incorporated 501(c)(3) in 2016. APF has a goal of increasing the exposure to golf and the opportunities associated with the golfing environment. In 2017 we would expand on our summer 2016 programs and combine golf and educational benefits.

FROM DERRICK: As a child growing up in Lansing, Michigan, I regularly attended the Boys and Girls Clubs of America in my hometown.  The time I spent there as a child in the after school program provided a sense of belonging, a second home, and a stable environment from which to grow–core values of the BGC.  In college, I returned to the BGC, this time as a Junior Games Room Director, where I gained invaluable insight into children, teaching, organization, management, and preparation. This formed the foundation that allowed me to attend Jackson State University on a full golf scholarship, later attend the University of New Orleans, and ultimately forge a career in golf as a former PGA golf professional here in Los Angeles at Rancho Park Golf Course for the past 30 years.
